Megan Burke MS, LAT, ATC, CSCS graduated in 2014 with her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, FL. She then went on to complete her Master of Science degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology through the University of Florida, where she also obtained her NSCA-CSCS certification. Upon graduation, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where she worked through outpatient rehabilitation and sharpened her skills in physical therapy, varying modalities, manual therapy techniques, post-operative treatment, and return-to-sport criteria. While in Jacksonville, she also received her Graston M-1 certification. Throughout her career, Megan has worked very closely with professional athletes, division I athletes, in addition to those of the general population. However, her passion revolves around serving athletes within the high school setting- she believes every high school athlete should have access to a full-time athletic trainer. Megan has been a preceptor through the University of Florida, University of North Florida, and University of South Florida mentoring college athletic training students. Megan has been the full-time athletic trainer at River Ridge High School since July 2018 and is also the supervisor for the West Pasco County athletic trainers in addition to Florida Premier FC and Tampa Bay United.
