In order to protect the health and safety of employees, staff, and students, all those who access Pasco County School locations must self-screen for symptoms and other risk factors of COVID-19 daily. If you answer YES to any of the questions, you should NOT be on campus. Access the Visitor Screener or the Student Screener online. Employees should use the Employee Self-Screener.

Parents/Athlete,Zoom Meeting Info: RRHS Cheerleading Tryout Informational Meeting

The Zoom meeting has taken place: 2020-21 Informational Meeting Zoom Recording:

Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, July 14th in the RRHS Gym.

ALL PAPERWORK SHOULD HAVE BEEN EMAILED TO COACH CHRISSY ( BY FRIDAY, JUNE, 26TH. This is the only way we know how many athletes are trying out in order to create the tryout schedule. This also ensures that your paperwork has been checked and is correct BEFORE tryouts. If your athlete comes to tryouts without us checking the paperwork through email, and any of it is incorrect or missing, they will be sent home. If you haven’t emailed your scanned paperwork, please do so ASAP.

All athletes must have a current physical, participation and consent/release forms turned in to your coach before you can tryout for Cheerleading.
Click HERE for the 2020-21 Cheerleading Tryout Application.
Click HERE for the Pasco County Athletic Forms needed for tryouts.

Once your paperwork is received and checked, Coach Chrissy will email you back saying that you are all set or tell you what forms you are missing. Please check your email to see if your paperwork is incomplete. We are still missing many forms from many athletes.

Athletes MUST ENTER CAMPUS WITH A MASK until they’re screened. Screenings include a COVID questionnaire and a temperature check. Any “Yes” on the questionnaire form requires the athlete to be sent home. They may not return to training/practice unless they have a physicians’ note/clearance. The temperature cutoff is 99.9. If an athlete is sent home due to temperature, physician clearance/documentation is also required before return to sport. For those students who do not drive, you may want to have your ride wait in the parking lot until the screening is complete, to ensure the student can stay on campus for their tryout.

Athletes are required to bring their own water for tryouts. Water fountains will not be available. ALL ATHLETES TRYING OUT MUST BRING WATER.

Coaches and judges will be wearing face masks during tryouts.

Hand sanitizer will be readily available for your athletes.

You must bring your ORIGINAL, SIGNED paperwork with you as well. Please remember ALL FORMS or you will not be able to tryout.

Each athlete will receive a tryout number once screening and paperwork is finalized. This number will be used to announce the teams.

Athletes trying out will have the opportunity to stretch, warm up any tumbling and jumps, and practice the cheer, chant and dance a few times as a group before their tryout.

Please remember to wear a white shirt, black or dark shorts, sneakers and hair in a low pony with a bow if you have one.

In normal circumstances, we would get to watch your performance over several days. Since this is the one and only time we will see you perform, we will be recording each tryout in case there is needed discussion about the tryout. We also may ask groups to perform the cheer, chant or dance more than once. We understand nerves and anxiety over tryouts, so we want to give every opportunity for the athlete to perform their best on this one-day event.

Cheer, Chant and Dance links for tryouts.

*When learning the cheer and chant, please replace team name with Knights or RRHS and colors with purple and black. Please see words below each video link.
