Painting Dates
- Wednesday, July 29, 2026
- Thursday, August 6, 2026
- Time: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Students may only paint on these assigned dates.
Before You Paint
Complete ALL of the following before arriving:
- Purchase your parking tag and painting package through Rycor ($100 combined fee)
- Complete the online Student Parking Application
- Complete the Safe Behind the Wheel Course (required for all students)
- Upload your parking spot design for administrative approval
- Bring your completed Senior Parking Spot Request Form with you on paint day
Students who do not bring the completed form will not be permitted to paint.
Materials to Bring
Students are responsible for providing all painting supplies.
Required materials include:
- Exterior water-based latex paint
- Brushes and/or rollers
- Masking tape
- Chalk
- Broom
- Plastic drop cloth
- Containers for water and brushes
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Plenty of water
- Snacks
- Pop-up tent or shade (recommended)
Not permitted:
- Spray paint
- Oil-based paint
- Reflective paint
Design Guidelines
Designs must:
- Be school appropriate
- Contain no offensive language or symbols
- Contain no double meanings
- Only include the student’s own name (no nicknames or boyfriend/girlfriend names)
- Match the design submitted for approval
Administration reserves the right to paint over inappropriate designs and disciplinary action may be taken if guidelines are not followed.
Painting Reminders
- Tape a 4-inch border inside the white lines.
- Do not paint on white lines or curbs.
- Sweep your space before painting.
- Sketch your design with chalk first.
- Paint from the front of your space toward the back.
- Consider creating stencils before paint day.
- Bring plenty of water and shade… it will be hot!
