We are excited to announce upcoming tryouts for the 2026–2027 Dance Team. Students interested in joining the program are encouraged to review all requirements and attend the mandatory clinic sessions prior to auditions.
Tryout Information
Clinic Dates: May 26 & May 27, 2026
Tryout Date: May 28, 2026
Time: 1:45 PM – 3:00 PM
Location: River Ridge High School Dance Room
Attendance at both clinic days is strongly encouraged, as dancers will learn the choreography that will be performed during auditions. Tryouts and clinics are closed to spectators.
How to Register
Students must complete and submit the official tryout packet by Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in order to be eligible to audition. Packets may be turned in to the front office, directly to Mrs. Taylor, or submitted digitally via email.
What to Expect
During the clinic and tryout process, dancers will learn and perform:
- A jazz/hip-hop combination
- A lyrical/contemporary combination
Judges will evaluate dancers based on technique, performance quality, effort, and potential. All dancers, regardless of experience level, are encouraged to try out.
Program Commitment
Dance Team is a year-long commitment that includes:
- Weekly practices and enrollment in a dance class
- School events such as pep rallies and performances
- Athletic events and community appearances
- Summer camp and team bonding activities
- Competitions and showcases
Students selected for the team will represent River Ridge High School and are expected to maintain high standards in both academics and behavior.
Estimated Costs
The estimated cost for participation is approximately $400 for the year, which includes team gear, costumes, and competition fees. Final costs will be confirmed after team selection.

- Mandatory Competition: January 23, 2027 (Sanford, FL)
- Winter Showcase: December 11, 2026
- Spring Showcase: April 30, 2027
