Two students were selected for a coveted internship/scholarship program (II-VI Scholarship) at VLOC a high-end optical engineering company. Out of 167 applicants, Andrew Saporito and Amar Patel were select to fill the only two positions available. The students will work as interns for VLOC each summer full time and during the school year part and will receive a $500 scholarship and the end of the year. The scholarship provides them with a $10,000/ year scholarship if they continue to work at VLOC during their summers and during the week after school for a total potential scholarship of $40,500 over the 4 years.
13 students earned college credit last year from Rochester Technology University.
